Terms of Use

Welcome to Kolikoko — a community mobile application where members discover, discuss, and share the best deals, vouchers, and shopping experiences. We expect all members to follow these Terms of Use. They apply to the app as a whole, including all discussions, comments, and posts. By registering on Kolikoko, you agree to abide by these rules.

I. Users

Every user on Kolikoko is a real person. Please respect their values and opinions at all times.

• Choose a username and avatar that are not offensive, and do not impersonate other users.
• Be tolerant. Deliberately stirring up arguments, provoking other users, or being disrespectful in general is not permitted.
• We encourage only one account per person. If you have lost your login details, please use the "Contact Us" option in the app settings and we will assist you.
• Each member is fully responsible for their own posts and comments.

II. Content

The community and its expertise are the driving force behind Kolikoko. We aim to maintain a liberal policy regarding what you may and may not post — but it must always be done respectfully. As a general rule, the following is not permitted:

• Spam or self-promotion. Posting your own products, services, or affiliate links without authorization is forbidden.
• Offensive, discriminatory, or hateful content. This includes content that is racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, or otherwise discriminatory.
• Illegal content. Any content that violates applicable law, including copyright and intellectual property infringement.
• Misleading or fake deals. Posting offers that are not genuine, that misrepresent prices, or that contain inaccurate information.
• Personal information. Sharing the personal data of yourself or others (real names, addresses, phone numbers, etc.) is not allowed.
• Adult, violent, or graphic content that is not appropriate for a general audience.

We reserve the right to edit, move, or remove any content that does not comply with these guidelines.

III. Conduct

Users are expected to work with the rest of the community, not against it. The following behaviors may result in your account being suspended or banned:

• Attempting to break, hack, or interfere with Kolikoko and its usability.
• Attempting to influence deals, votes, or temperatures in an unfair way (e.g. vote manipulation, fake accounts, coordinated voting).
• Creating multiple accounts to circumvent suspensions or restrictions.
• Conduct not in the spirit of being part of a money-saving community (e.g. gloating about scalping, profiteering).
• Reverse-engineering, decompiling, or otherwise attempting to extract the source code of the app.
• Any other malicious use of Kolikoko is strictly prohibited.

IV. Merchants and Stores

Merchants and stores may also be banned from Kolikoko if they:

• Provide poor customer service to community members.
• Attempt to promote or incentivize posts in our app without authorization.
• Post misleading offers or engage in deceptive marketing practices.
• Use multiple accounts to artificially boost their own deals.

Merchants who wish to engage with the Kolikoko community in an official capacity should contact us directly through the partnership channels.

V. Enforcement and Communication

All users have access to the report button within the app. We encourage users to report content or behavior they believe should be reviewed by a moderator.

If another user is trying to upset you, please try to avoid retaliation — use the report button and let the team handle the situation for you.

You may be permanently excluded from the Kolikoko community if you cannot respect the app, its guidelines, and its users.

Removal of Posting Privileges

We do our best to avoid anything terminal for accounts. However, our role is to protect the platform, the members, and the team from content or behaviors that cause problems. Sanctions may include warnings, temporary suspensions, content removal, or permanent bans, depending on the severity and frequency of the violation.

Disagreeing with a Decision

If you disagree with a moderator's decision, please use the "Contact" option in the app settings to send a brief description. A different team member will review your request. The Kolikoko administration will have the final word on any disputed decision and on all aspects of the app.

VI. Your Posts and Account

As a member, you are fully responsible for your posts.

• If you change your mind about a comment you have posted, you can delete it within the first 5 minutes after posting. After that, you may still edit your comment at any time.
• To delete your account, use the contact form or the dedicated option in your account settings. After deletion, your username, subscriptions, and email address will be removed from the system, but your comments will remain in the app (assigned to an anonymous user ID) to preserve the integrity of community discussions.
• We will never share your email address with a third party.
• If a legal complaint is filed about something you have written on Kolikoko, you will be notified and given the option to remove or defend your comment.

VII. App Team

Moderators are here to help the community and to keep Kolikoko as user-friendly as possible. They do not make the rules on the spot — their role is to support the community by enforcing the guidelines.

Please respect their position and understand that they are also real people. The opinions and views of our members are not necessarily those of the Kolikoko staff or administrators.

We are not robots. We will sometimes get things wrong, and teams can occasionally be stretched. We accept being challenged, having questions asked of us, and being held accountable for our work. When we make mistakes, we do our best to reflect on them and correct them. However, we do not accept personal abuse or relentless negativity. Please treat us with the respect and courtesy you wish to be treated with — we will do the same.

VIII. Disclaimer

Kolikoko is a platform for users to share deals and discussions. We do not sell products ourselves and are not a party to any transaction between you and a merchant. We do not guarantee:

• The accuracy, availability, or validity of any deal or voucher posted in the app.
• The quality, safety, or legality of products or services offered by merchants.
• That a merchant will honor a posted price or offer.

Any purchase you make based on information found on Kolikoko is at your own risk and is governed by the merchant's own terms and conditions. We strongly recommend verifying details with the merchant before making any purchase.

IX. Intellectual Property

By posting content on Kolikoko, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute that content in connection with the operation of the app. You retain ownership of your content.

You agree not to post content that infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party. If you believe content on Kolikoko infringes your rights, please contact us with a detailed report and we will investigate promptly.

X. App Stores and Devices

Kolikoko is distributed through third-party app stores (such as the Apple App Store and Google Play). Your download and use of the app is also subject to the terms and policies of the app store from which you obtained it.

You are responsible for:

• Ensuring your device meets the minimum technical requirements to run the app.
• Any mobile data, internet, or other connectivity charges incurred while using the app.
• Keeping the app updated to the latest version to ensure proper functionality and security.

XI. Changes to These Terms

These rules and the code of conduct may be modified or updated at any time. Updates will be made available within the app. Please check them regularly. Continued use of Kolikoko after changes have been posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
